5/26/21

Dear Reader,

It is with great pleasure that I write today to share our reopening plans. Beginning June 1st , 2021, we will
resume our full schedule and will once again allow quiet study, computing services, in person reference
assistance, and browsing on our second floor and in the Children’s Room.

Canton has done an outstanding job at curtailing the spread of Covid-19 in our community. The library is
pleased to welcome the public back into the building in a safe and responsible manner. Some areas of
the building have been reconfigured to promote social distancing.  Your friendly librarians will be
happy to show you around.

Please note that curbside pickup will now be available only to those who call to request it at 781-821-
5027. For all others, please come into the library to pick up your items on hold.

Our Children’s Library staff are thrilled to welcome you back for browsing and computing. Storytime will
resume in person on our outdoor amphitheater. Please check our library calendar for more information
and to register for your space at storytime! The Canton Public Library strongly encourages the use of
masks for those patrons who are unvaccinated, and asks for your cooperation in following good hygiene
habits while visiting the library.

Thank you to our terrific library patrons for your patience and support during this difficult period. Your
librarians have missed you, and we look forward to seeing you again soon!

Respectfully,
Andrea J. Capone, MLS
