Art Keeps Us Human

mona-lisa--2_113_hr

Beth Knaus of Art Matters will present Art Keeps Us Human at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, January 24 at the Canton Public Library in the Community Room.

Art teaches. Art communicates. Art has humor and passion. Art matters! People are the only living creatures who make art. It is a uniquely human activity, and the sole reason we have an advanced civilization. Join us for a mini-history of western civilization through art, from the caves to the shuttle, to see and understand how art and civilization depend upon each other. ArtMatters is an Art Awareness Program designed to keep individuals connected to the world and encourage a loving relationship with the visual arts. Artwork describes shared feelings, tells stories, re-enacts events, and imparts magic and power. Thousands of years of history can be made real by a single painting. This program is free and open to the public.

ART MATTERS programs are fun, entertaining, and inspiring.
